How to regulate your emotions
In Irish when they talk about emotions they don’t say for example ‘I am sad’ they say ‘sadness is on me’ – Ta Bron Orm
Invalid Date
The implication is that you are not identifying yourself fully with that emotion. In other words it doesn’t define you. ‘I am not sad, it is just that sadness is on me for a little while.’
There will be something else that will be on me another time, and that is okay as it is about recognising the emotion.
Here are some ways to look at emotions and how you can regulate them.
